Got Nothing to say today ‘cept hey, hey, hey!

Hey hey hey!

I am listening to the Good Life right now, because I like my band names to be literal descriptions of my day.  and today I did live the good life.  We moved the TV to our bedroom a couple weeks back, and this morning i got to wake up, grab my PS2 controller and resume a saved game.  That was a fulfilmment of some childhood definition of success i had, when i first watched Mall Rats.  So this morning, as I played God Hand in bed, I made 11 year old me proud.

(side sign of distress: It might be a bad thing that my childhood heroes were depressing, unemployed manchildren who were about to be dumped.  Hopefully i’ve moved past my idols).

Not much was done today.  We got ground turkey and Alaskan’s winter ale(brewed with Spruce!).  We bought a 7 dollar ps2 controller.  We watched Degrassi and played Lego star wars.

(side note: turns out lego playing me is an ASSHOLE.  I was just crying, “force on that, do force on that!” without realizing it, and not helping lindsey(playing obi wan) at all.  It was not a good side.)

Then lindsey and i collectively OWNED Street Fighter II.

Now I’m listening to Amon Amarth and listening to my friend Gabe compare reality television to the rise of Arena Rock in the 70’s.

Lindsey, while kicking ass at Street Fighter, was talking about how special it was to play the computer in older games like this.  Because someone programmed the enemy’s moves years ago-and that movement and command is still preserved.  Especially with games like Mortal Kombat, where it was made by like eight people, you are seeing one person’s idea of how the character should fight and respond and block.  It’s like playing a ghost.  that’s my favorite part of video games.  Someone yeaers ago made a ghost that stays in its cartridge, waiting to repeat some random succession of kicks wall bounces and yoga flames so that Lindsey and I can have a great october night some 15 years later.

I’m tired, and my blog title was correct, I don’t have much to say.  I just wanted to check in.  shoot the shit with you.  See how you guys were doing. you doing good?  How’s your back treating you?  Crazy weather we’re having huh?  October?  More like Muggytober.  Think the Ducks will make it all the way this time?  Do you still talk to Jeff much?  I haven’t seen him since, geez, 5th grade?  He looks like Al Borlen?  Serious?  He didn’t age well it sounds like.  Do you need a cough drop, or some water?  No it’s fine, your voice just sounds a bit hoarse.  I hate it when I have that tickle in my throat too.  though with me it’s usually hair that making my voice raspy, which just adds to the disgusting.  Here’s some water.  Oh, don’t worry, it’s  no problem.  Man, do you remember Darkwing Duck?  That show was great.  Oh, you don’t remember it much?

Well this guy does!
